Prices and Discounts
Individual visits:
- Entrance fee for individual visitors – 10.00 lv.
- For students – 2.00 lv.
- For visitors with children – 4.00 lv., for children over 7 years – 2.00 lv.
If there are free museum guides it is prohibited for non-museum guides to lead tours at the National Museum of History.
Request for guided tours in Bulgarian, English, French, German, Russian or Japanese laguage have to be made at least 2 weeks in advance by phone or at this e-mail: ekskurzovodinim@abv.bg

General tour (duration – 1 hour and 30 min.):
- Bulgarian language – 15.00 lv.
- Bulgarian language with translation – 20.00 lv.
- Foreign language – 30.00 lv.
Tour for visitors with children (duration – 1 hour):
- Bulgarian language – 10.00 lv.
- Foreign language – 30.00 lv.
Tour for people with specific needs (duration – 1 hour):
- Bulgarian language – 10.00 lv.
- Foreign language – 30.00 lv.
Tour for children in kindergarden and students:
- Bulgarian language – 10.00 lv.
- Foreign language – 30.00 lv.
- Interactive tour in Bulgarian – 15.00 lv.
Groups who reserved their tour in advance wiil be threated with priority. The reservation expires 20 after the appointed hour. The goups are up to 25 people.
Combined tickets valid for 1 month:
- NMH – Boyana church – 12.00 lv.
- NMH – Boyana church – Zemen monastery –14.00 lv.
Group visits:
For groups of 10 and more people - 7.00 lv. per person
Free entrance:
- For employees of museums and galleries
- For people with special needs and their attendant.
- For children up to 7 years old.
- 18th of May - International Day of the Museums
- For members of ICOM
Preferential fees:
- 17th of September – The Day of Sofia - for all visitors 1 lv.
- 1st of November – Day of National Leaders, entrance is free for students, to other visitors - 1.00 lv.
- Filming with camera - 80 lv. (The price is for non-professional non-commercial shooting. To shoot film productions, video cards and other video materials, please contact the PR department at nim.pr@abv.bg)
- Taking pictures is free (using flash is forbidden)
